Principle Cornet - Ian Schofield
Ian started playing the cornet at the age of seven with Nostell Colliery Band who later changed their name to Crofton Silver Band. He continued playing with them for 25 years as well as being a member of the Wakefield Schools band. After a short spell with Kippax he joined the West Yorkshire Police Band in 2001.
Assistant Principle Cornet - Lyndsay Dawson
Lyndsay began playing the Cornet aged seven at the start of Junior School and also with Crofton Silver Band, until making the move to join the Band of The West Yorkshire Police in 2004. As well as playing the Cornet for various Schools Bands she also played the Clarinet. She is currently studying at University
